D-9 Chart or D-9 Chart Vedic Astrology

I will discuss now, one of the most important charts after ascendant or lagna chart. D-9 chart known as Navamasha chart also. For analyzing any Horoscope, we need to do carefully d-9 chart analysis or read navamsha. If D-1 is Body then D-9 is our Soul.

The most important divisional is the Navamsha Chart. It is calculated by dividing the 360 degree zodiac into 108 equal segments. Thus the size of each segment ends up being 3 degrees and 20 minutes of arc. There are 9 segments in each 30 degree zodiacal sign, hence the name Navamsha, based on the sanskrit word “Nav” meaning Nine. Each amsha or division is ascribed to a particular sign, following each other in the natural order of the zodiac. Thus the first division goes from 0 degrees Aries until 3 deg, 20’ and is called “Aries navamsha”, the 2nd division from 3 deg, 20’ to 6 deg, 40’ becomes Taurus navamsha, and so forth. When you get to Pisces the 12th division, the next one is Aries again. The sequence of 12 zodiacal signs repeats itself 9 times to complete all of the 108 segments in the zodiac.

Why D-9 chart important or Importance of d-9 chart in astrology: D-9 chart or navamsha kundali is one of the chart which confers promise of D-1 even sometimes if any planet week in D-1 chart or Debilitated but exalted in D-9 then we can say this is neecha-bhang of that planet, so now you can understand, why this chart is so important. D-9 is the chart which gives complete view of your partner (husband/wife), even sometime whenever D-1 not shows good  results  of 7th house but still you can easily find out peoples are not facing any  problem in marriage ,this is magic of strong  D-9(specially 7th house of D-9). D-9 chart is the key chart for pin point prediction for the marriage of any individual.

The navamsha, being the 9th divisional chart, shows more details about the 9th house of the natal chart. The 9th house is the house of Dharma and Destiny. Thus the navamsha can be examined for details about “where you are going.” But we can also look at it as a chart displaying the soul’s overall path. In this context the original birth chart becomes the chart of the present life; what sort of lessons the soul has chosen as an expression of its larger purpose. Sometimes the navamsha chart planets are especially strong but the natal chart looks like a disaster. This would indicate a strong soul choosing to undergo difficult lessons for this life. Navamsa chart effects can observe in throughout life.

Role of D-9 in marriage or navamsa chart compatibility: In Indian Vedic astrology 9th house knows for religion or dharm and Vedic astrology wife called in Hindi "dharm patni". That house is very important for martial pleasure in life or through wife. Same thing in D-9 chart which can give idea for marriage life. Interpreting navamsha is one of necessary task for reaching in perfect conclusion on Horoscope. (Mainly for marriage)
D-9 chart can boost up our luck as well if any planet strong in D-1 and D-9 as well then it is really one good placement for that planet. Navamsa kundali analysis need to carefully for all purpose like Luck, career, Finance and marriage. Married life by navamsa chart gives very pin-point results for partner.

D-9 Important for Luck and wealth: D-9 has important role to define your career/luck and wealth also. This is the chart which gives more pictures about our luck and wealth and promise for happy peaceful married life on the earth.

Yoga’s in d-9 chart: One of the most important uses of the navamsha chart is to determine the inner or true strength of a natal planet. If a planet is placed in one of its own signs (for instance, Venus in Libra or Jupiter in Pisces) then that planet is considered strengthened by the navamsha. If on the other hand the planet is in an enemy sign, or its sign of debilitation (Venus in Cancer; Venus in Virgo or Jupiter in Capricorn) then it has been weakened in the navamsha. Even if a planet is otherwise “good” in the birth chart, if it loses power in the navamsha its ability to do well has been compromised.

Importance of D-9 in Dasha System: The real clues to the outcome of a person’s life are in the navamsha. The maha dasha ruler and anterdasha ruler must always be reviewed in the D-9 also, it will reveal information as to the outcome and indicate the inner quality of the cycles. This is the reason D-9 chart importance or navamsa chart uses mentioned everywhere in our Astrological Texts.

kemadruma Yoga Vedic astrology

I was thinking for many months about writing this yoga or dosha, whatever you call it, because people feared this yoga lot. As per my experience, I will tell you very clear, any raj yoga or dosha is never accomplish alone . Every raj yoga or dosha needs some more planet help or combination to perform their complete action good or bad. Kemadruma yoga text will clear you up in my post.
Moon is most sensitive planet in astrology, so its afflictions are more painful. That's why it’s alone without benefic aspect or a nearby planet. It feels weak, and the results are some bad yoga. But in rare cases it becomes very weak. A lot of other situations can help this planet recover.

Conditions: In many conditions, kemadruma yoga in the horoscope is not strong or cancels by itself.

If moon in good favorable sign
If the moon is in a favorable nakshatra, Moon pad matters a lot.
If the moon is strong degree wise in a particular sign
Aspected by Jupiter-Venus.
Moon strongly placed with the paksha-bal or full moon.
Moon in Venus sign.

Kemdrum yoga in astrology

I will start from our classical definition. Kemadruma yoga, as per its classical definition, arises when, at the time of birth, there are no planets on both sides of the Moon, i.e., in the 2nd and 12th houses from the house/sign occupied by the Moon. It is an inauspicious yoga. The person born with this yoga will be poor, dirty, sorrowful, doing unrighteous deeds, dependent, and struggling in life. The presence of the Sun in these houses makes no difference. This yoga also causes Rajabhanga yoga; it destroys the benefits of other raja/good yogas.


    Cancellation of kemadruma yoga or kemadruma yoga cancellation
    1. I will tell you one fact that you will never find anywhere. If moon Ascendant is strong(Aspected by benefic and in good sign/nakshatra) and Saturn is placed in 2/12th house or other malefic planet, but Saturn is lord of auspicious house, then It will not give any bad results. If any bad results come, then until the age of 16 only.
    2. If there is a Moon in Kendra and strong in Navamsa (D-9) chart.
    3. Presence of planets in Angular-kendras from Moon.
    4. All good planets aspecting Moon. 
    5. A Strong Moon in a kendra associated with or aspected by Benefic like Mercury, Jupiter or Venus. 
    6. The Moon, occupying in the navmsha chart its exaltation sign or the house of very friendly planets, aspected by Jupiter. 
    7. A Full moon occupies the Ascendant in conjunction with a benefic planet.
    8. Presence of planets specially Jupiter-Venus in kendras from the Ascendant. When this happens, the adverse kemdruma yield takes place to a highly benefic kemdruma yoga, which bestows all comforts on the native. 
    9. If moon in Vargottam and strong in D-9 as well.
    10. If Moon-mars share the same house, will also cancel Kemadruma yoga .
    11. Very important cancellation of Kemadruma Yoga is Jupiter in kendra from Moon.
    12. Kemadrum yog gets cancelled if Jupiter or Venus sees the Moon or if Moon is present in Kendra (I, IV, VII, X houses) or Trikon sthaans (V, IX houses). This yoga works especially when Moon is present in VI, VIII or XII houses of the birth chart.

  • Donation of silver in the temple.
  • One small siver coin in running water in any holy river.
  • Abhisheka of milk and water on Shivalinga.
  • Donation of Kheer keeping in Silver vessel.
  • One should keep a silver moon with himself.
  • The holy waters of sacred rivers like Gangajal should be kept in the place of
  • Shiva Worship at home.
  • The items signified by Moon e.g. pearl, milk, curd, ice cream, lassi, rice, silver, water, Khir, etc., should be donated.
  • Fast on the day of the full moon (Purnima) for four consecutive years. Begin this fast from a Purnima, which is on Monday, or from the day of Chitra Nakshatra, which is on Monday.
  • Visit a temple on Mondays and pour a cow’s milk on Shivalinga, and worship Lord Shiva. Worship Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. Recite Shivapanchakshari mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ with a Rudraksha mala.
  • Every Monday, chant the maha mrituanjai mantra in front of Shiva in the home.
